The Basics
1.) Respect. You don't have to like everyone but you WILL respect everyone. If you have a personal problem with a certain member DO NOT slander them on the board please. If you need resolve simply send a Private Message or an email to one of the administrators and they will help you in any way they can. Being patient is a form of respect. You can hate someone all you want, be WE don't want to hear about it, thank you.
2.) Do NOT advertise except on the advertising board please.
3.) Do have fun. Really, this is a game and that's why we are all here.
4.) Swearing and adult content IS allowed. If you are under 18 and do not have the permission of a parent to be here, then you are advised to leave. Anything with mature content should be labled as so with a [m] in the title of the thread. Thank you.
5.) Please make an announcement if you are going to be absent for more than a week or you may risk having you character removed or demoted in the rank system.
In Character
1.) At NWP while we stress quality over quantity we do require that you post be at the very LEAST one whole paragraph. Don't be afraid to go over that, in fact it is encouraged! Be descriptive.. How does your charater feel? What is he/she thinking?
2.) In Character and Out of Character incidents should remain that way. If Character A and Character B are fighting in the game, this conflict should NOT extend into real life. Again, it's just a game. Same thing goes, if you are informed Out Of Character of some piece of information, this doesn't necessarily mean that your character in the game knows.
3.) No Godmodding. No God-like behemoth characters that have no weaknesses. Everyone and everything has a vice.
4.) No powerplaying. Powerplaying is when you assume control over another character. Like for example "My character bites your character's face off" This.. should not be done. Rather an attack should be posted like "So-and-So character lunges at Character B and snaps his jaws at the opposers throat". This leaves player B to be able to reply and determine if the hit went through... Please refer back to the preceeding rule.. you can't dodge everything. If someone is being unfair I encourage you politely bring your concern up with the player or with an administrator.
Regarding Inactivity
1.) Please inform the staff if you are going to be absent for over a week. We know that you all have lives, so do we. However it isn't respectful to leave your fellow players guessing if you are going to be around this month or not.
2.) Conciquences of NOT reporting an expected absence may lead to demotion or deletion of your account.
We have the right...
To change any of these rules... adding ones where necessary and removing rules that are not. If you have a concern contact an admin. We will keep you posted.
Concerning Characters and Joining
1.) Colors: Feel free to be unrealistic when it comes to colors. However your character must be a "wolf" as this is a wolf pack, mixed breeds are allowed with permission from the staff.
2.) Special Markings: Also allowed. We endorse creativity.
3.) Non-Wolven Articles: AKA pendants, collars, chains, ect. Not allowed. Humans are unknown to these parts and since wolves do not endorse technology freely.
4.) No mechanical creatures, sorry, again we are focused in a setting where technology is not applicable.
5.) Special Skills: Every character is allowed to have a special skill. Please don't go too far overboard with this. Unrealistic skills are allowed that have resemblence to say "old magics". These means you can have one special skill that relates your chracter to magic if you wish, HOWEVER you don't have to. For example you could use this space to define your character as a healer or perhaps have camo skills allowing him./her to blend in with his/her surroundings. Be creative.
6.) Once you join the board you have a 10 days to make a post. If you do not, you will be removed. If you are going to be inactive then let us know.
