Shazer and Ivory have been accepted by Rico but do my pups have to be accepted to be in the day stalkers?

Well they do sort of...they have to submit and know that Rico is incharge, but that is about it. Rico is not a big fan of pups unless their his. I would make sure they act well toward him. He likes them, but he will protect and watch over them.
